First Steps

The last few days has been so exciting because Gracie took her first "real" steps.

She is gaining more confidence everyday day! She is still looks like if she is drunk though ... so cute!

Happy Halloween

This was Gracie's 1st Halloween!
We went out to trick or treat and Gracie got a lot of candies for mommy and daddy!
Even Jr. was all dress up although we wasn't very happy about it.

She was the cutest butterfly ever!!! The costume was very hot but she was such a trooper and waited patiently until we were back in the house to take it off.

I'm so happy for all the memories we are building together as a family and looking forward for more and more.

Happy Halloween everyone!!!

Step by step

Grace is showing more and more independence when it comes about start walking. Today we went to my friend Chip's house and all of the sudden Gracie decided it was a good time to show off her new skills.

No, she is not a walker yet, at least not officially but at least she took more than 2 or 3 steps.

I think she wanted to keep up with Ryne (Chip's son). She was very cautious at first but then she just let it go ... it was amazing watching her, it made my heart melt!!!

I'm so proud of her! If she keeps this pattern, she will be a full time walker by her 1st birthday!!!

Aaron's 1st Birthday Party

Yesterday we went to our friends Carrie and John's house to celebrate the 1st birthday of their son Aaron, we had such a good time! Everything was so perfect, the food was delicious and the company unbeatable.

Aaron had a blast digging up on his cake!!!

Happy Birthday little guy! We love you very much ... :)

Happy 11 months my dear love

Dear Gracie:

Wow! I have no words to describe how much I love you and the way you have changed our lives is such a short time, just 11 months "almost" 1 year and I can't even remember the other 30 years without you.

Everyday you amazed me more and more, the way you smile in the mornings when we go to get you up, they way your arms rest on my back and your head on my shoulders.

We are so proud of you, you are very smart and eager to learn new things, I love that you are not scared of things, you just want to be able to discover the world by yourself.

I have learned so much about myself since you are here with me, I waited for you my whole life. Thank you for being my baby!!!

You are not walking yet but that don't stop you to get into everything, to get the things you want, whenever you want. Like when you want to reach the TV remotes or take things out of the kitchen cabinets. You already know what "NO" means even if you laugh everytime time I say to not to do something. I think that is one of the word I use the most lately, "Gracie, don't touch the remotes", Gracie, don't open that drawer", "Grace, don't eat Jr's food" and I can go and on.

I love how wherever we go at least one person always tell us how beautiful you are.

For me and daddy, you are the most incredible, beautiful, smart, cute, funny, gorgeous, amazing baby on the planet.

Happy birthday princess!

We will love you forever
we will like you for always
as long as we are living
our baby you will be.

Night at the fair

we decided to go to spend an evening at the Arizona State Fair, so right after Grace's nap we got in the car and headed off to the fair.

the weather was just perfect!

this was Gracie's first time at the fair and we enjoyed every minute of it. We had deep fried oreos, cotton candy, apple candy, David had chocolate covered bacon (Yikes!) ...

we rode with our baby the carousel and some other rides, she LOVED it!!! and of course we loved to spend time together.

Aunt Marsha is visiting us from Colorado so last sunday we went to a pumpkin patch at a local farm called Schnepf Farms, we had a delicious breakfast and had tons of fun riding the train, watching the K-9 frisbee show, picking pumpkins at the patch, getting lost in the corn maze, riding the flying chairs and the roller coaster.

Gracie loves outdoors but at some point she just couldn't keep her eyes open, she was so tired!

We really had a GREAT day!
I love this time of the year, the weather is perfect, the holidays are coming soon and Gracie's birthday is next month!

Costume shopping

David and I have been debating about Gracie's 1st Halloween costume, at first I want her to be a cute PIG but then I thought it was very expensive just for a couple of hours she is going to wear it, we went to tons of stores, we thought about this TURTLE but she wasn't very cooperative.

Then we went to Party City and found "this":

The pink leopard
At the beginning I was very reluctant to even try it but it wasn't that bad. The search continued and we came into "that":

David OF COURSE was very excited about this costume and I have to admitted that for a SECOND I thought it was cute and because of her last name and bla bla bla but no she will NEVER be Darth Vader for Halloween at least not until she can pick by herself.

We finally found the perfect one for her, nothing really fancy, super cute and really affordable. Oh you want to see a picture?

You will have to wait ...
