Water for Christmas

I saw this post in other blog and it really made me think about all the good things we have and sometimes we don't realized how lucky we are!

Water for Christmas is a grass roots movement bringing both awareness and real "on the ground" change to Africa's water crisis.

Unsafe water and lack of basic sanitation cause 80%

of all sickness and disease, and kill more people every
year than all forms of violence, including war.

For only $10 you can provide one person

in Africa with clean water for ten years.

Let's help those who need it the most giving them a gift and bringing a smile to their faces!

Today is about water.
Today is about saving lives.
Today is about something bigger than ourselves.

Challenge

I would love to say that I'm creative and crafty and it's hard to say but the truth is that I'm not.
I have always struggle with crafts and projects and I would always buy things instead of make them but this time I have challenge myself and even if I'm not sure what am I into I will make sure I will success.

Grace's 1st birthday party is around the corner and I have tons of ideas but not idea how to do them. Anyway this is what I want to do ... (something similar)

I will post my creations as soon as I have them.
Wish me luck!!!

Grandma / Mi abuelita

Let me introduce you to one of the most amazing women I had the honor to be related to,
my grandma!!!

She went to heaven almost 9 years ago on Christmas day.

Te amo abuelita.

The days go quickly
Now that you’re gone
The weather is always, cold and dull
Since you left
It doesn’t seem I’m me
The smallest things bring back memories
The songs I hear
The shows I see,
All bring back Saturday nights
You spent with me
And now all I have to say
Is that I’m happy you not suffering
You’re up in heaven growing your wings gracefully
I love you with all my heart
Now I won’t shed a tear, I hope you heard this
From way down here.

I miss you every single day and I wish you could be here to share the happiness my daughter bring to my live.

Lazy sunday

we really had a lazy weekend!
I love when you can just stay at home in your pajamas, watching TV, cleaning a little bit, playing with you baby or your dog, eating whatever you find on the fridge, juts relaxing and spending time with the ones you love the most.
our house is not the same since Grace started walking, we spent a lot of time chasing her and getting her away from trouble but it's awesome to see this litte person walking all around the house
she is truly the light of my life
truth is I'm getting anxious about her turning ONE. it's like I'm very happy to see how much she has grown in the last year, how smart and big and beautiful she is but in the other hand I'm sad to think that she is not anymore that tiny baby we brought from the hospital and that every single day she is getting more and more independent
we can call her "baby" for 2 more weeks
even though she will be MY baby forever

Did you noticed ...

something different?

Yes! I changed the whole appearance of our blog and I LOVE IT!!!

I'm always changing things here and there but I wasn't very happy with the result but this time I'm very happy.

I "stole" the idea from other blog and I really hope that the owner of that blog don't mind but I couldn't help it, her blog is really cute!

I have been posting mostly about Grace my almost 1 year old baby girl but I think I'm going to change that too and now I'm going to post about everything. Sometimes I get shy because I think my English is not very good and sometimes I think that what I say doesn't have any sense but I hope you will understand and forgive my bad use of your language. Also I'm going to post sometimes on Spanish, like kind of a Spanish lesson every week. I don't know, I'm getting ambitious huh?

Well I have to admit that here and then I need to use a translator to be sure I'm not writing something wrong and if you ever need a good translator I would recommend Babel Fish, it's very easy to use and FREE!!!

Anyway I hope my 2 or at least 3 readers enjoy my new blog!!!

See ya!
